About

Built by one
developer, not a call center

TechGPT started as the freelance practice of a single developer working out of Nairobi — taking on tech support jobs, fixing broken systems, and gradually building full products for small businesses that couldn't afford (or didn't need) a big agency.

What began as one-off gigs — repairing a laptop here, building a website there — turned into a pattern: businesses didn't just need a fix, they needed a system. A school needed a way to track fees without a spreadsheet falling apart every term. A bakery needed to stop taking orders through scattered WhatsApp messages. A retailer needed a POS that actually understood Kenyan Shillings and M-Pesa, not a foreign template bolted on afterward.

That's the gap TechGPT fills: real infrastructure, built by someone who understands both the code and the Nairobi context it has to run in — M-Pesa integrations that actually work, pricing that makes sense for a small business budget, and systems built to be maintained, not just launched and abandoned.

Founder & Lead Developer, TechGPT

The developer behind TechGPT — a Nairobi-based freelancer who builds full-stack web apps, AI integrations and POS systems for real Kenyan businesses, from school fee trackers to M-Pesa-powered storefronts. Every project on this site was designed, built and deployed personally, not outsourced to a template.

What Drives the Work

Built, Not Templated
Every project — from Salem Junior School's fee tracking to Desktop Traders' inventory system — is built for that business's actual workflow, not a generic template.
Priced for Reality
Startup-friendly pricing that reflects what small Kenyan businesses can actually afford, without cutting corners on the engineering.
Kenya-First Infrastructure
M-Pesa, Paybill, STK Push and local payment flows are treated as first-class features, not an afterthought bolted onto a foreign stack.
Support After Launch
A delivered system that breaks a month later helps no one — ongoing support and hosting are part of the offer, not a separate upsell.

Where It's Headed

TechGPT is growing from a one-person freelance operation into a small, focused agency — still hands-on with every build, still based in Nairobi, now expanding into AI automation and chatbots so client businesses can run leaner and respond to customers faster, day or night.
